Hi friends list.

A few friends and I are making a literary journal composed of love letters and break-up letters. If ANY of you are willing to submit a letter that you've written, received, sent, not sent, and are willing to allow us to publish it either 1) in our print version of our literary journal, Purple Picket Fence, or 2) on our affiliated blog, I would be FOREVER grateful. Or, if you're willing to write one to someone you love/hate/like/despise/fantasize about/etc. and want to submit that, that'd be fabulous.

Your name does not have to be attached to your letter. You can opt to put your initials, or remain anonymous, OR have your name included. If you know anyone who'd be willing to help, please pass along the word! The "official" text is under the cut. We’re collecting love letters and break-up letters to include in the print version of our new literary journal called Purple Picket Fence and/or to be posted on our affiliated Purple Picket Fence blog.

Submitters may choose to be anonymous, use their initials or to have your name included. Be sure to mention in the e-mail if you’d like to be identified and whether or not this letter was received by you or written by you. Without this information, letters will automatically be cited anonymously.

If you are chosen, you will be notified via e-mail. We are also accepting art submissions and scans of hand-written letters and postcards, if possible.

Please note that by submitting your letter, art, work, you are giving us your letter(s) to use as we see fit, either in our print journal or on our blog. We are super new at this and would appreciate any and all help! This could be something great; don’t be shy! However, please be sure that you are submitting your own work. RYAN: What?
MICHAEL: It's whoever, not whomever.
RYAN: It's whomever.
MICHAEL: No, whomever is never acutally right.
JIM: Nope, sometimes it's right.
CREED: Michael is right. It's a made up word used to trick students-
ANDY: No. Actually, whomever is the formal version of the word--
OSCAR: Obviously it's a real word- but I don't know how to use it correctly.
MICHAEL: [to camera] Not a native speaker.
KEVIN: I know what's right. But I'm not gonna say. Because you're all jerks who didn't come see my band last night.
RYAN: Do you really know which one is correct?
KEVIN: I don't know.
PAM: It's whom when it's the object of the sentence and who when as the subject.
PHYLLIS: That sounds right.
MICHAEL: Well it sounds right but is it?
STANLEY: How did Ryan use it, as an object?
RYAN: As an object.
KELLY: Ryan used me as an object.
OSCAR: Is he right about that--
PAM: How did he use it again?
TOBY: It was, Ryan wanted Michael, the subject, to explain the computer system, the object--
MICHAEL: Thank you!
TOBY: ...to whomever, meaning us, the indirect object. Which is the, the correct usage of the word.
MICHAEL SCOTT: No one, uh asked you anything ever so whomever's name is Toby, why don't you take a letter opener and stick it in your skull?
